We started our foundation in May 2011 as a joint initiative between friendly doctors and IBM employees with the goal to support hospitals and students in Sierra Leone with a focus on Yele a town in the heart of Sierra Leone. We kick-started during the IBM Celebrating of Service event in June 2011 where IBM provided a grant to kick-off our foundation and where we started several projects. In the last 7 seven years, we did several projects in Yele for the hospital and the local primary schools.
